GG FireHawk
The GG FireHawk is the shortest and most compact M4 style AEG that GG has to offer. The gun is perfect for those close quarter environment. Combining with the intimidating sound amplifier and light weight body, the GG FireHawk is a formidable AEG for CQB. Here we will take a look at the features and specs of this AEG.
The most defining external feature of the GG Firehawk is the plastic orange flash suppressor. The duck bill shaped orange flash suppressor acts as a sound amplifier, making the gun sounds louder, sharper and more intimidating to those at the receiving end of the bbs. The plastic sound amplifier can be replaced with an exact aftermarket amplifier made of metal instead of plastic.
The GG FireHawk’s rail system is made of polymer that is much more durable than ordinary plastic and keeps the weight down at the same time. The rail system is 4 inches long and covers the 3 inches aluminum outer barrel.
The GG FireHawk’s body is made of polymer. The front and rear iron sights are adjustable for windage and elevation or they can be flipped down and function as back up sights when using alongside another sighting system such as scopes or red dot sights. The iron sights can also be removed if more rail spaces are needed for other purposes. The functioning charging handle will open up the dust cover to reveal the hop up unit. GG has installed a very comfortable motor grip onto the GG FireHawk. The motor grip has finger groves and texture that helps prevent slipping and provide better handling of the AEG. There are sling mounts on the buffer tube on both sides of the gun.
The 6 position retractable stock is slim and can be locked into a certain position to prevent unwanted adjustment during game time. Toward the back of the stock is a QD sling mount slot for different sling types. Under the QD sling slot is a small compartment that holds back up battery for flashlight or red dot sight.
The hop up system is the standard plastic hop up unit that is installed in all of GG M4 AEG. The inner barrel is 190mm (3.5). Aftermarket inner barrel, hop up bucking and hop up unit can be installed to improve accuracy.
Internally, the GG FireHawk comes as a standard V2 full metal gearbox, which means any part within the gearbox can be replaced with aftermarket parts for upgrade or repair. Based on the gearbox specs and the small battery compartment within the buffer tube, it is recommended to use a 7.4V lipo battery for this gun. Smaller 11.1V lipo batteries will also fit into the buffer tube, using 11.1V batteries will increase the rate of fire of the gun at the cost faster wear and tear of the gearbox. To increase space for battery, the stock can be replaced by aftermarket stocks for larger battery compartment for 9.6V or 8.4V NiMH batteries, or larger lipo for longer lasting battery life.
At 35,000rpm of both high torque and high speed, the GG Titan motor is capable of generating enough power for the AEG to run smoothly at above average rate of fire and sounds crisp even on a 7.4V battery.
The non combo version of the GG GG FireHawk comes with the AEG itself and a 300 rounds hi capacity magazine. The average FPS is around 330fps. Considering all the specs and features of the GG FireHawk, this AEG was made specifically for close quarter engagements due to its short barrel, higher than average rate of fire, light weight, and the intimidating noises that the sound amplifier generates when shooting.
